A DERBY developer has resubmitted plans to relocate a village medical practice.

Primary Horizons Ltd wants to move the medical centre in Bulling Lane, Crich, to a new home in Coast Hill.

Based at Pride Park, Primary says the current facility is too small and is restricting the range of services GPs can offer.

The plan includes a pharmacy, with its own separate entrance, and at least 40 car parking spaces.

More surgery sessions would be held and it would see a "marginal" increase in staffing levels over the next five years, according to the firm's planning application.

Consultations have been taking place in Crich for two-and-a-half years.

The same developer is already creating a new medical centre in Greenhill Lane, Leabrooks, Alfreton.

That one will replace two surgeries – The Riddings Medical Practice, in Pennine Avenue, and Leabrooks Medical Practice, in Swanwick Road.

Amber Valley Borough Council, which has received the latest plans, is expected to make a decision by June.
