Play part in helping vulnerable to stay warm this winter
ORGANISATIONS are coming together to help residents stay warm as the winter weather starts to bite.
The Stay Warm And Healthy In Derby partnership has already started giving advice on how people can heat up their homes.
Now members of the public are being asked to play their part in helping to keep vulnerable people warm.
Councillor Baggy Shanker, cabinet member for housing and advice at Derby City Council, said: "Far too many people experience poor health by living in a cold home and this will help to make sure that Derby residents can keep warm and healthy this winter.
"We are asking everyone to remember the needs of friends, relatives and neighbours who could be at risk."
The Stay Warm And Healthy In Derby project involves Derby City Council, Age UK Derby and Derbyshire, Derby City Primary Care Trust and the Department of Health. For more details, call Derby 256333.
