Police appeal for information after break-in at Baked, in Derby

POLICE are appealing for information about a break-in at Baked in Derby where the victim disturbed the burglar.

At around 3.50am this morning the victim entered his Strand-based bakery to find a man hiding in the store room.

The man ran out of the front entrance of the shop and up towards Bold Lane heading towards the Friargate area.

The victim described the man as white, in his early 40s around 5ft 10in tall, medium build with scruffy brown hair.

He was wearing dark blue jeans, a waist length blue waterproof coat, and had a coke bottle in his hand.

Access was gained through the roof of the premises, a search was made but it appears nothing was taken.
