Police appeal for witnesses following robbery in Normanton
Detectives investigating a robbery in Normanton are appealing for witnesses.
At around 6pm on Friday, March 8, a couple were walking along Pear Tree Crescent when two men approached them from behind.

One of the men tried to take the 26-year-old woman’s handbag and they struggled until he forced it from her grasp.
When her 37-year-old husband tried to intervene, the other man hit him in the back and racially abused the couple.

Both men were white, around 5ft 9ins tall and in their mid to late 20s. The man who took the woman’s bag is slim with brown hair. He wore dark trousers and a dark jacket.
The man who assaulted her husband is stocky. He wore a dark coloured cap, navy jumper and black trousers.
