Police issue CCTV appeal after claim of racial abuse in shop

POLICE have released a CCTV image of a man to whom they want to speak in connection with an racist incident at a Derby shop.

A man went into Select and Save, in Kedleston Street, Allestree, to buy a mobile phone top-up. He allegedly complained that the transaction was taking too long and racially abused the shopkeeper.

The incident happened at 7.30pm on Friday, June 29, last year. Police have only just released the image. Anyone who can help is urged to call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
