A ROBBERY victim was left with facial injuries after being attacked by a group of men.

The victim was in Station Road, Melbourne, at about 11.30pm on Friday when he was approached by the group, who assaulted him during an attempt to steal his laptop and mobile phone. The man suffered minor facial injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0345 1233333.
