POLICE patrols will be increased in Shelton Lock to combat anti-social behaviour.

The extra patrols will be in operation in Staveley Close, Stonebroom Walk and Sheldon Court.

Officers will also be stopping and searching youths who hang around in Station Road, Chellaston, and will be working with staff at The Corner Pin, in Swarkestone Road, to identify persistent troublemakers.

Members of Chellaston Bowls Club will be contacted to see how its base can be better protected.
