Firefighter Gareth Murtagh said: "A vehicle left the A52 at the side of the Toys R Us car park. The driver didn't quite make the corner, mounted the grass verge and landed on two parked cars.

"It was fortunate the parked cars were there as they gave way when the car fell.

“The driver of the silver vehicle that caused this mass destruction is disabled and her hearing dog was in the back of the vehicle thankfully unhurt, from what i understand this was her very first time out in her vehicle, cannot beleive the DVLA would allow someone with this severity of a disability behind the wheel of a car, I so hope the driver of this vehicle is prosecuted disability or not she could have killed someone.”

“No proof 'jackiemoon'? Apart from the distance travelled before coming to rest on two parked cars?”

I wonder if the other cars owners find it as amusing?
Is she being prosecuted for careless driving?”

“There's no proof speed was the issue, could be a blow out tyre, driver had a heart attack . The details aren't clear.

Extremely worrying though considering this was the carpark of Toys R Us, it could have been much much worse.”

Seeing as they dish them out for farting nowadays for normal, regular, safe drivers!”

“people do drive too fast on the Wyvern area roads, but these slipways are very twisty & get treacherous in wet weather. The Wyvern is a big centre, with 100s of cars on and off every day .. poor & inadequate design contributes to these problems as much as dodgy driving.”
