Prisoner absconds from HMP Sudbury

This is Derbyshire

A 28-YEAR-OLD man who was jailed for aggravated vehicle taking is the latest inmate to abscond from HMP Sudbury.

Neil Anthony Bennett, who was sentenced at Derby Crown Court to 45 months in July last year, failed to return to the prison yesterday.

He is white, about 5ft, of medium build, with short brown hair and blue eyes. He comes from Peterlee, County Durham.

    “do they manage to keep anyone in this prison? every other week someone escapes. Not a bad deal, 3 meals a day, roof over your head, then when you feel like it off back home to your mates!”
