AN organic egg production business has been given the go-ahead to build a house on land in Hilton.

Parish councillors had "strongly" objected to the proposal by John Bowler Farms for its site in Willowpit Lane because of the impact it would have on neighbouring properties. Six trees would need to be felled to make way for the development.

However, South Derbyshire District Council has agreed to grant planning permission for the project.
