RESPONDING to Mr Monk's letter about the RSPCA's prosecution of the Heythrop Hunt ("Court case shows RSPCA has become too political", January 12), perhaps it could equally be suggested it did so because a supine and possibly deferential Crown Prosecution Service declined to initiate criminal proceedings. At least the RSPCA carried out its charitable brief.
