LEADING zoologist James McKay is taking a selection of rain forest animals to a Derbyshire school on Friday.

Accompanying him on the trip to Parwich Primary School will be a rare spectacled owl, a tree frog, a huge boa constrictor and giant pouched rat CBBC Norman, who has featured on several TV shows.

Mr McKay, of Ashover, is a leading educator and a scientific fellow of the Zoological Society of London.

He has run the Animal Roadshow, which visits schools, colleges, country fairs and shopping malls, for more than 30 years.
