FRANK Fielding says there is no time to dwell on results in the Championship and his focus is fully on helping Derby County to a positive result against Leicester City tomorrow.

Defeats by Barnsley, Reading and Southampton left the Rams with one point from their last four League games.

They lost 4-0 at Southampton on Saturday but Fielding is looking forward and not back.

"You have to move on and I am just thinking about the Leicester game," said the Rams goalkeeper.

"Southampton are the best team we have played.

"We matched them at home earlier in the season and so to lose 4-0 on Saturday was massively disappointing.

"We took a lot of fans down there and we didn't give them anything to shout about other than the 15 minutes after half-time, when I thought we had them on the back foot.

"I fancied Southampton to go up after we first played them. What I saw on Saturday strengthened that view.

"But we cannot beat ourselves up too much over one bad result because we have to go again on Thursday.

"The lads have been superb this season and it is important not to forget the run we have just been on.

"In this division, you cannot dwell on one result.

"We have to put the Southampton game to bed and we will concentrate on the Leicester game."

Derby enjoyed a sequence of five consecutive victories in December and January and kept four clean sheets.

For all of Leicester's spending, the Foxes sit only two places above the Rams but on the same number of points, 42 from 31 matches.

They beat Derby 4-0 at the Kingpower Stadium in October.

"All the best to Leicester, who have got all the riches, but it just shows that money cannot guarantee you a position in the table. I think we are on equal points, aren't we?" said Fielding.

"But you can't take your eye off the ball for one minute in this division.

"Leicester have got good players and they beat Norwich in the FA Cup at the weekend. They are a good side."

Tomorrow's game has been brought forward 48 hours so it can be televised live on Sky Sports.

"It's a Thursday night and we'll be competing against the Premier League darts – I hope people decide to watch us rather than Phil Taylor," smiled Fielding, who has missed only one of Derby's 34 matches this season,

"I love playing for Derby County and I am grateful for the opportunity the gaffer has given me," he said.

"This is my first full season at Championship level and my first full season since I was on loan at Wycombe nearly four years ago.

"It is the most games I have played in four years."

The godparents of Fielding's girlfriend, Holly, will be watching from the stand and cheering for Leicester.

"Gareth and Judith live in Hinckley and they are big fans of Leicester City," said Fielding.

"They will be at the game and obviously not supporting me but they are great people and big people in Holly's life."

“mystic_sheep do not comment if you are only going to talk rubbish... after reading your first comment I knew straight away that you have no clue as to what you are on about. Save these forums for people who actually follow the club and have genuine input and opinions based on knowledge and following of the games, rather than looking at the next opponent (not if its home or away mind you) and casting an opinion based on that.

Personally I do see us being beaten, we've looked tired and very short of ideas the last few games. Unless there is a real change in energy and determination to get forward I do actually believe we will be rolled over once again. I hope I am wrong. Also with this game being on TV I can't see more than 21,000 of us being there... But hey, here's to optimism COYR!!”

“Yeah and leicester city away is a great place to go after getting hammered 4.0 against southampton.
Mystic sheep predicts another away loss, with Tyson failing to score and leicester city scoring a good 3 goals.
Final score 3.0 to leicester city.......”
