ALL of the Derbyshire County League's promotion and relegation issues will be resolved over this weekend' s action – except one.

The league's Division One fixtures have been delayed a week because the County League have reached the final of the LCC Cedric Rhoades Trophy.

They will travel to Worfield in Shropshire to meet that county's County League in the final on Sunday.

Manager Roy Fox has named an unchanged side for the third consecutive round of the competition.

The final Division One league fixtures will therefore be played on Sunday, September 14.

At the top of the table, it is not going to make any difference, with Rolls-Royce and Aston-on-Trent as good as promoted.

The sides play each other on Saturday in a game that will go a long way towards deciding which of them goes up as champions.

It is different at the bottom, where 23 points separate the bottom six sides and only eight points separate the bottom four.

The fact that some overseas players will not be around for the delayed final day may well have some bearing on the final outcome.

Nutbrook and Shipley Hall, each on 217 points, currently occupy the relegation places.

Each could justifty the old cliche "too good to go down" but that will not necessarily save them.

Shipley are away to Clifton tomorrow, while Nutbrook are at home to Denby.
