Reward for Cycle Derby
A GROUP of 12 employees from Derby City Council went to a black tie awards ceremony in London after being shortlisted for their work to get people active.
Cycle Derby was in the top six for the MJ Achievement Awards' More People, More Active, More Often Achievement of the Year category.
The group was shortlisted after sending a submission which highlighted how they increased cycling in the city by 11 per cent.
Although they were not named the overall winners, Mark Smith of Cycle Derby said it was a fantastic event.
"It was held at the Hilton Hotel in Park Lane and there were about 1,000 people there so it was great to get that far."
