Riley Pettipierre's mother says she was "stupid" for putting methadone in beaker
A MOTHER accused of the manslaughter of her son who died from drinking methadone told police she was "stupid" for putting the drink in his beaker.
Sally Dent's comments to officers made on the day she found her son Riley Pettipierre lifeless on her bed were read to a jury at Nottingham Crown Court earlier today.
Dent, 32, and partner Shaun Binfield, 44, both of Kilbourne Road, Belper, deny the manslaughter of their son and cruelty to a person under the age of 16.
Dent said to an officer "I put the methadone in one of his beakers last night. I didn't know where to put it. He obviously thought it was juice or pop."
