River Trent flood alert in place, with snow expected across Derbyshire later today
SNOW and sleet are expected across Derbyshire later today, according to the Met Office.
Heavy rain will begin to fall at midday with sleet expected about 6pm.

Snow is expected to fall this evening at around 9pm.
A yellow snow warning has been issued by the Met Office alerting people to be aware of snow.

A forecaster at the Met Office said higher parts of Derbyshire could potentially see upto 10cm of snow while the city would only see a couple of centimetres if the snow is to settle.
Temperatures of minus one degress celsius are expected.
Meanwhile, a flood alert is in place for the River Trent from Newton Solney to Castle Donington.
Flooding of low-lying agricultural land and roads is possible in the Willington, Ingleby, Barrow upon Trent and Swarkestone areas. Bargate Lane at Willington, the access roads to Willington Meadows, the Twyford Village access road, Church Lane at Barrow and Ingleby Lane may start to flood.
Tomorrow's forecast has given out further wintry flurries through the first part of the day with light and patchy sleet.
