DERBY aero engine-maker Rolls-Royce has secured an order worth more than £600m to supply engines to Saudi Arabian Airlines.

The order, announced this morning(8), will see Rolls-Royce supply engines for eight aircraft, with an option on a further four.
The contract, which includes a long-term service agreement, is for the Trent 700EP - the enhancement performance variant of the engine, which gives out lower emissions.
Saudi Arabian airlines will begin receiving the engines at the start of next year.
It is the first time that the airline has selected Trent engines.

“Isn't it a coincidence that Rolls Royce always secure a big order soon after redundancies have been made?”

“Isn't it funny that when ever Rolls Royce make redundancies they always get a big order confirmed shortly afterwards?
Strange that”
