DERBY aero engine-maker Rolls-Royce has won an order worth £288m from Turkish Airlines.

The deal is for the enhanced performance version of the Trent 700 engine, which is produced at Rolls-Royce's civil aerospace plant at Sinfin.

The engines will power seven Airbus A330 aircraft and the deal includes a TotalCare agreement, which will see Rolls-Royce maintain the engines throughout their service life.

Delivery of the engines will start next year.
