Rovers will give us good test in third round, says boss
NIGEL Clough says League One leaders Tranmere Rovers will provide a good test for Derby County in the third round of the FA Cup.
The Rams face Ronnie Moore's Rovers at Pride Park Stadium over the weekend of January 5-6.
Rovers beat Chesterfield 2-1 in their second round tie on Saturday.
"First and foremost, it's good to get a home draw," said Clough.

"The first thing you can ask for is a home tie, so we're pleased to have got one.
"Tranmere are a good side and have started the season very strongly in League One under Ronnie Moore, who is a very experienced manager.
"He has quickly turned their fortunes around after taking charge at Prenton Park midway through last season.
"It will be a good test for us and it has the makings of a decent Cup tie against a side who have aspirations of gaining promotion to the Championship this season."
Derby have never played Tranmere in the FA Cup.
The last meeting of the clubs was in a Division One fixture at the Baseball Ground in April 1996. Derby won 6-2 and Paul Simpson scored a hat trick – the last time a Rams player hit a hat- trick in the League.
Derby have won four and drawn two of seven home games against Rovers.
