SARA TAKES 'CRAZY ART' TO TRAFALGAR SQUARE
DERBYSHIRE artist Sara Burden has also been chosen to spend an hour on the empty plinth in Trafalgar Square.
And the 31-year-old, of Belper, is to take her art with her on to the Fourth Plinth this month.
Ms Burden told the judges that she wanted to create pieces of art from a new perspective.
She said: "I am so excited, I couldn't believe it when I was told.
"I am hoping to do my art on the plinth – observing people through art with photographs and sketching. You have an hour on the plinth so I want to use my time to the full."
The single mother started her art business, Crazy Art Lady, with a loan from The Prince's Trust.
She had been on income support while she finished an art degree.
