Sainsbury's in Swadlincote gives help to smokers wanting to quit
HEALTH experts in Derbyshire have decided to work with a supermarket to run their new stop-smoking campaign – because they believe it is the best way to reach the most people.
Derbyshire Stop Smoking Service says research shows people are four times more likely to quit if they have help from experts.

Carol Wynn said the store was an ideal location for people to get support.
The service has now teamed up with the Swadlincote branch of Sainsbury's to offer in-store support to shoppers to help them to stop smoking.
Smokers interested in quitting can ask for help from a smoking adviser at the store's pharmacy.

Carol Wynn, from the Stop Smoking Service – which is part of Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS trust – said she was looking forward to seeing how successful the scheme was.
She said: "Sainsbury's is a very busy store and is central to Swadlincote.
"It is an ideal location for people to benefit from support and do their shopping in the same place.
"We know smokers are more likely to succeed if they have help from the experts in the stop-smoking team.
"Our team is friendly and helpful and we'd encourage anybody to come and have a chat face-to-face or give us a ring."
Naomi Gladwell, pharmacy manager at the Sainsbury's branch, said: "We are proud to support the smokers within our community in their efforts to change their lifestyles and quit smoking.
"Working with the Derbyshire County Stop Smoking team, we hope to make the challenge of stopping smoking easier for people."
