Salsa fans step up to help boost Haiti's quake fund
SALSA dancers from across the East Midlands have raised more than £1,400 for the people of Haiti.
Two hundred people turned out at the Derby West Indian Community Centre, for an event organised by the centre and Salsa Vibe teachers from Nottingham and Derby.

The party at the Trinity Street venue went on until 2.30am with DJs including Big Trevor, Cleon and DJ Richardo providing the music.
Trevor Blackwood, one of the organisers, said: "We thought a social salsa night would be the best way to get a lot of people together and raise money for the people of Haiti."
The money will be split between the Derby Telegraph's Give Water, Give Life campaign and the Disasters Emergency Committee Haiti Earthquake Appeal.
A Derby restaurant raised more than £200 for our Give Water, Give Life campaign.
People were invited to enjoy a four-course meal at Indian restaurant Mint, in Nottingham Road, Spondon, with 100% of the proceeds going the Aquabox charity.
Organiser Abdul Muhid said: "It was a good night."
