Salsa launch
The art of freestyle salsa is coming to Derby thanks to Amanda Hawley, Midlands salsa teacher of the year in 2011. Amanda, seen here with Stan Smith, is launching freestyle salsa dance classes at Bar 5, George Street, Derby, on Tuesday, January 17. Amanda said: "Salsa is a great social activity, not expensive and you meet people from different backgrounds. I've been dancing for six years and love it." Lessons at Bar 5 in Derby commence on Tuesday 17th January and every Tuesday evening from 8.00pm
Amada is an experienced Salsa & Bachata teacher, PTTLS qualified and insured. (Also a qualified Zumba teacher)
8.00pm – 9.00pm Salsa
9.00pm – 10.00pm Bachata
There will be free social dancing upstairs on a Tuesday evening in order for experienced dancers to practice and for new starters to try out their new skills; the Bar is also open to the general public in order to soak up the Latin vibe.
