School is hosting conference on leadership topics
A NATIONAL conference to explore how heads and governors can work together in the interests of pupils is to take place at a Derbyshire school.
Trent College, in Long Eaton, will host the A Time to Lead conference, which will be addressed by speakers from the independent school sector and other leadership experts.
It is open to heads and governors from junior and senior schools in both the state and independent education sectors.
David Hanson, chief executive of the Independent Association of Prep Schools, is one of the speakers and said: "Education is facing enormous challenges, not just economic but political.

The inaugural conference takes place on Friday, June 7, with an optional black tie dinner the previous evening. Rory Bremner will be the after-dinner speaker.
