SCHOOLS have announced changes in the numbers of pupils they will take from 2011.

Littleover Community School wants to increase its admission limit from 252 to 265 pupils from September 2011, and St Joseph's Catholic Primary wants to put up its number from 48 to 50.

Both schools anticipate an increase in pupil numbers in their catchment areas.

As part of the annual consultation on admissions, West Park School in Spondon, Boulton Primary and Wren Park Primary said they wanted to lower their admission figures.

They put this down to falling numbers of children in their catchment areas.

All schools must consult on their admission arrangements through Derby City Council.

Any comments on the proposals have to be made by March 1 and the proposals have to be determined by April 15.
