Schools' grant boost helps Japanese links
TWINNING links between schools in Derbyshire and Japan are to be given a £7,500 boost by the county council.
The cash will support annual exchanges with a further £750 spent on an official reception for 26 visiting Japanese students, from Toyota City, in Matlock on Friday, September 19.
Schools involved are: Aldercar Community Language College, Kirk Hallam Community Technology College, Ilkeston School, John Flamsteed Community School, William Allitt School and St John Houghton Catholic School.
