FIVE schools across Derbyshire are celebrating receiving up to £3,000 each to develop creativity and innovation.

The funding will enable them to set up links with professional artists, writers, architects and scientists as part of the Government's Creative Partnerships scheme.

Schools taking part include Dovedale Primary School, in Long Eaton, Town End Junior School, in Tibshelf, New Bolsover Primary School, Hollingwood Primary School and Mill Hill School in Ripley.

The five schools join another 77 in Derby and Derbyshire who are already taking part in the programme.
