Scorching sunshine as couple tie knot in Caribbean

THESE newlyweds tied the knot in the scorching sunshine on the Caribbean island of St Lucia.

Daniel Pheasant and Laura Conway, both from Ilkeston, became man and wife in a ceremony beside the beach at the Rendezvous Hotel, Castries, where both sets of parents were among the eight guests. Daniel, 25, is the elder son of Pete and Doreen, of Green Lane, Ilkeston, and Laura, 25, is the only daughter of Darran and Tanya Wheatley, of Shipley View, Ilkeston.

  1. The reason Pete Pheasant was in the Caribbean – Laura Conway and Pete's son, Daniel, both  25,  tied the knot  on the  island of St Lucia, above, and, right, Daniel and Laura with bridesmaid Joanna Copeland and best man Joe Pheasant.

Laura was given away by her father. Daniel's brother, Joe, was best man and Joe's girlfriend, Joanna Copeland, was bridesmaid. The witnesses were Daniel's aunt and uncle, Diane and Phil Godmon, who travelled from their home in Spain to be at the wedding.

The couple have made their home in Basford.
