Setback lessened for blaze-hit firm
A SUSPECTED arson attack at a Derbyshire business has caused less extensive damage than was first feared.
The massive blaze at John Bowler Eggs, in Hilton Business Park, on Sunday, January 31, was initially said to have caused £350,000 of damage.

damage: The blaze in January.
But Stuart Walker, who is responsible for the company's transport, said it was more likely to cost around £250,000.
This is because two trailers it was thought needed replacing in fact only suffered smoke damage. The fire gutted two other trailers and a lorry cab, resulting in the loss of 8,500 eggs.
Mr Walker said the cost would be covered by insurance.
Two girls aged 13 and one aged 14, as well as three boys aged 12, were arrested in connection with the blaze and have been bailed.

“I hope that the insurance company concerned will be pursuing the parents of these kids through the civil courts to recover the costs of their wrong-doing. The emergency services should also bill them for the time spent and the danger that their employees were exposed to as a result of this senseless act”
