Severn Trent announces £1.3 million project to improve water supplies in Derbyshire
WATER giant Severn Trent has pledged to spend more than £1.3 million to renew and replace pipes that it says will improve supplies in Derbyshire
The company said that the work, which will take place in the Ambergate area, will improve the “security” of supplies.

It is in response to a number of burst water pipes, which affected homes in Belper, Ripley, Swanwick, Alfreton and Somercotes last year.
By improving connections in the network of water pipes, Severn Trent said that in the event of a burst, supplies can be rerouted to make sure customers always receive water.
