Shadow minister hails city's links to manufacturers
DAVID Willetts, Shadow Minister for Universities and Skills, met students at Derby College when he visited The Roundhouse.
His tour was part of the Tory campaign to "Get Britain Working" by boosting enterprise. He said: "We are launching the James Dyson report on how we can invest in hi-tech manufacturing, because Britain has become too dependent on financial services and borrowing, and it would be better to rediscover our great traditions in manufacturing. Derby is a classic example, with its links to great manufacturing companies like Rolls-Royce."
