Shopkeeper finds premises ransacked
CIGARETTES, deodorant and a number of packs of dried noodles were stolen during a burglary at a shop in South Derbyshire.
Thieves broke into the Village Store, in Church Street, Coton-in-the-Elms, between 5.20pm on Thursday and 7.50am on Friday, a force spokesman said.
They smashed a door to gain entry to the store before ransacking it and stealing the items.
The shopkeeper noticed the break-in when he arrived to open the shop on Friday morning. Anyone who saw any suspicious activity should call police on 101.
