THE city's annual Sign and Sing concert raised £1,000 for the Derby Deaf Children's Society.

The event took place at Landau Forte College, in Fox Street, and included musical pieces by children from Reigate Primary School, the 30th Derby Brown-ies, Royal School for the Deaf and Woodlands School.

Society chairman Paul Colebourne said: "The annual event was more popular than ever and a complete sell-out. It was a lovely evening and we were delighted to welcome all the visitors and the performers."
