Snow beats local football, Burton Albion included, Derby RFC off too
Burton Albion's League Two game at home to Wycombe Wanderers was postponed after a 9.30am pitch inspection - the club's first postponement of the season.
The persistent snow around the country also ensured there was a clean sweep of postponements for our local non-league sides.
Alfreton Town's long trip to Braintree Town in Essex was called off and the clubs came up with a new date quickly. The game is now scheduled to be played on Thursday, March 28, with a 7.45pm kick-off.
Games involving Matlock Town, Ilkeston, Belper Town, Gresley and Mickleover Sportsin the Evo-Stik League will also be rearranged.

Heanor Town and Long Eaton United miss out in the Northern Counties East League, as do Holbrook Sports, Borrowash Victoria and Graham Street Prims in the East Midlands Counties League.
All of Derby Rugby Club's scheduled games were postponed, as was Burton RFC's game.
Ilkeston RFC's game away to Peterborough Lions was postponed and has been rearranged for next Saturday, March 30.
