Spooky tales and farm locations for inventive players
ATTIC Rats are set to deliver a spooky evening of drama with a difference.
The creative theatre group plan to portray some very eerie tales of ghostly goings on, using the location of Bluebells Farm at Locko, near Spondon, as their backdrop.

Getting spooky – Attic Rats.
This is the first time that Attic Rats have taken their drama to a working farm and director Jonathan Leach, commented "We are looking to make the evenings unique.
"Not only will there be some great drama but also some unexpected ghostly happenings and, in some cases, the audience will be in the thick of it. Bluebell Farm will be also be serving up some mouth-watering homemade food. Combine this with spooky scenarios, some wonderfully atmospheric story telling, great special effects and you have the recipe for an amazing evening."
Along with Jonathan, Jane Wilton has written several of the Ghosts of the Farm scenes, which draw on local legends and a Second World War story.
Jane said: "Ghosts normally have some kind of unfinished business and that is why they come back. This is a key theme for the evening."
Jonathan and Jane have carried out months of research to ensure that the stories are factually correct.
The drama will particularly focus on the history of Locko, including the Knights of the Templar, the local leper colony and the murder of Enoch Stone in 1856.
Audiences should dress in warm clothes and wear appropriate footwear and can bring along their own alcoholic drink. Catch the show from February 16-18, 7.30pm nightly. Tickets £16 (to include food) from Bluebell Farm on 01332 673924.
