Spotlight on refugees as library brews up for event
A COFFEE morning will be held as part of a week aimed at raising awareness about refugees and asylum seekers in Derby.
Pear Tree Library is hosting the event, called One World Coffee Morning, next Friday at 11am as part of national Refugee Week.
It will give people an opportunity to mingle with people from the community and from different countries, and to learn one or two words in another language.
There will be other events taking place at various places in Derby to mark the week, including a talk with people with first-hand knowledge, which takes place on Monday, in St Peter's Street, from 11am to 3pm.
