Stockbrook are crowned champions despite a late challenge from All Stars
STOCKBROOK Colts Eagles have been crowned champions of Under-9 Group One – despite the best efforts of rivals Mackworth St Francis All Stars.
Goals from Anas Ali and Bradley Grestoroux gave Stockbrook a 2-1 victory over Roe Farm Reds which meant that, despite Mackworth winning 3-1 at Chellaston Boys Athletic, the Eagles are this year's champions.
Joseph Clarke, Ciaran Claxton-Briggs and George Barford got the goals for Mackworth.
Ilkeston FC Whites moved to within a point of Group Three leaders LE Galaxy after beating Little Eaton Diamonds 10-0.
