Strange that my sister is left to struggle in pain
I MUST say I have every sympathy for the Pakistani girl who was apparently shot by the Taliban for daring to champion education for girls in her country.
It does make me question though why my sister has been in agony for over 18 months awaiting hip replacement surgery whilst the Pakistani victim was flown to the UK straight into our hospitals to receive instant treatment.
I'm trying not to be bitter and cynical but it does seem strange, especially as my sister grafted all her working life, paying her taxes, just to be told "you will have to wait for treatment".
I now hear the injured girl is nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. I wonder what prize my sister will get?
