Students' art is to go on display
STUDENTS from a Derbyshire special school are to have artwork exhibited as part of an international project.
Alfreton Park Community Special School is part of a two-year Comenius project co-ordinated by a school in Spain. Other countries involved include Greece, Latvia, Poland, France, Finland and Turkey.
Alfreton Park head teacher Rosemary Mackenzie said: "It is a great achievement to be selected. The initial stage involves art therapy, with stage two being an exhibition of the work produced in each of the partnership countries."
The project provides funding to enable students and teachers to share teaching methods and practise languages.
