Sub Nathan Tyson hits late winner as Derby County beat Birmingham City 3-2 at Pride Park
SUBSTITUTE Nathan Tyson grabbed a late winner as Derby County beat Birmingham City 3-2 in a cracking Championship contest at a rain-sodden Pride Park Stadium tonight.
Derby lead three times and the victory lifted them into the top half of the table.
Conor Sammon put the Rams in front after 32 minutes when he headed in from eight yards after Jack Butland had touched Michael Jacobs' drive onto a post.
Birmingham improved second half and equalised 18 minutes from time through Marlon King's penalty after Richard Keogh brought down the lively Rob Hall.

Then came three goals in a five-minute spell.
Sammon scored his second to put the Rams back in front with 10 minutes left.
Jake Buxton headed down a centre from Gareth Roberts and Sammon sent his shot from 12 yards wide of Butland.
But back came the visitors and they levelled for a second time two minutes later when Peter Lovenkrands headed in a centre from Jonathan Spector.
Tyson, who replaced Theo Robinson after 72 minutes, had the final say two minutes after Lovenkrands' equaliser.
John Brayford and Paul Coutts were involved in a neat move before Will Hughes threaded a pass into the path of Michael Jacobs whose perfect low centre was turned in by Tyson.
Tyson now has five goals for the season and his last three have come as a substitute.
