Suspect charged over incident at Job Centre, in King Street, Alfreton
A 24-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with wounding following an alleged assault in a Job Centre.
Police were called to the Job Centre, in King Street, Alfreton, on Thursday at about 10am after reports of an altercation.

A 39-year-old man suffered injuries in the incident.
He was initially taken to King’s Mill Hospital, Sutton-in-Ashfield, and later transferred to Queen’s Medical Centre, in Nottingham.

Last night, a Derbyshire police spokeswoman said the man remained in a critical but stable condition.
The 24-year-old, who is known to the injured man, is due to appear at Chesterfield Magistrates’ Court today. (Sat)
