ZICHEN Liu completed a hat-trick of victories in the open classes at the Derbyshire ASA sprints.

The 17-year-old Swadlincote swimmer took the 100m, 200m and 400m freestyle titles at Ponds Forge, Sheffield.

His achievement was matched by Belper Marlin's Frances Marshall, who struck gold in the women's open 100m and 200m freestyle, as well as the 200m individual medley.

Kane Haggett (City of Derby) completed a backstroke double over 100m and 200m, while Chris Steeples (Etwall Eagles) won the 100m and 200m breaststroke.

Thirteen-year-old Georgina Tovell-Coleman (City of Derby) claimed the women's 400m freestyle and 100m butterfly crowns, while Ellis-Jay Middleton (Long Eaton) was the winner of the 100m backstroke.
