The pair, who were wearing dark clothing and masks, ran off with their haul after a male customer set off a fire alarm. Officers are keen to trace the man.
A police spokesman said the robbers were last seen running down an alleyway towards Oliver Road. A shop assistant suffered minor injuries to their chin during the raid.
Anyone with information should call Derbyshire police on 0345 123 3333, or Crimestoppers, which is free and confidential, on 0800 555 111.

“Your a bit touchy Jay.
It's more a comment on the poor quality of the headlines. I mean, "Tall" robbers hunted and The Hulk bit off my nose.
I have plenty of sympathy for the victims of these crimes but the headlines are terrible.”
