Tankers deliver water to farms in Spondon after burst water main
TANKERS were being drafted in last night to ensure water reached four farms in Spondon which were left without a supply after a major main burst.
Water flooded Locko Road, near to the junction with Longley Lane, in Spondon, from a 33-inch diameter pipe at noon yesterday.
Severn Trent Water managed to restore supplies to most customers quite quickly, leaving 10 others without water until about 6pm when only four were without water.
A Severn Trent spokeswoman said: "We were able to reroute water supplies, so most customers' water supply wasn't affected.
