Taxi passengers who alighted at Five Lamps, Derby, being sought by police investigating assault

TWO taxi passengers who shared a cab with a woman - who was later assaulted - are being sought by police.

Officers said the victim caught a yellow Hackney-style taxi with another couple in the Wardwick, Derby, on Saturday, March 17 between 11.30pm and midnight.

    Derbyshire Police are investigating after a woman was assaulted.

They said the vehicle headed to the city's Five Lamps junction and the couple were dropped off here, before the taxi went on towards Duffield Road.

A spokesman for Derbyshire police said: "We are trying to trace two taxi passengers who may be witnesses to an incident involving a woman who was sharing their cab and was later assaulted.
