A FORMER Derbyshire primary teacher has received a reprimand from the General Teaching Council after falsifying assessment data.

Sallie Jogela appeared before the professional conduct committee yesterday to face the claims, which included failing to comply with Pottery Primary School's policies for assessing pupils' work.

The committee heard Mrs Jogela admit she falsified pupil assessment data by creating levels of attainment for them in February 2008. She admitted not following the Belper school's policy of marking incorrect work as incorrect.

Mrs Jogela admitted unacceptable professional conduct.

The committee accepted she was experiencing health difficulties but not to the extent that her failure to follow policy and basic professional judgement were affected.

The reprimand will remain on the GTC register for two years.
