Gareth Roberts is out after picking up a knock in training - meaning on-loan Craig Forsyth will fill in at left-back - while Ben Davies and Valentin Gjokaj drop to the bench.

Ward is expected to line up on the left wing in a 4-4-2 formation, with Paul Coutts reverting back to the right-hand side following Bryson's return.

Leicester boss Nigel Pearson has made one change to his side, recalling the fit-again Paul Konchesky in place of Jeff Schlupp.

DERBY COUNTY: Fielding, Freeman, Keogh, Buxton, Forsyth, Coutts, Hendrick, Bryson, Ward, Martin, Sammon. Subs: Legzdins (gk), Gjokaj, Hoganson, Davies, Jacobs, Doyle, Bennett.

LEICESTER CITY: Schmeichel, St Ledger, Morgan, Keane, Konchesky, Wellens, Drinkwater, King, Nugent, Wood, Dyer. Subs: Logan (gk), Whitbread, Schlupp, Marshall, Kane, Vardy, Waghorn.

REFEREE: K Stroud (Hampshire).
