Team news: James O'Connor replaces Mark O'Brien as Derby County boss Nigel Clough makes one change to face Hull City
NIGEL Clough has made one change to his Derby County starting line-up for tonight's Championship encounter with Hull City at Pride Park Stadium (7.45pm).
James O'Connor replaces Mark O'Brien at centre-back for the Rams' final home game of 2012.
O'Brien made his first start for more than a year in the 2-0 win at Bristol City last Saturday after recovering from a serious knee injury.
The Republic of Ireland youth international was replaced late on due to a bout of cramp and has been struggling with illness this week.
So, Clough has opted to recall O'Connor at the heart of his defence alongside Richard Keogh, with O'Brien dropping to the bench.
Newly-crowned Football League young player of the month Will Hughes (ankle) has been passed fit to play, as have fellow midfielder Craig Bryson (knee), striker Conor Sammon (calf) and left-back Gareth Roberts (calf).
Defender Valentin Gjokaj, who was recalled from his loan spell at Carlisle United this week, is named among the Derby substitutes, at the expense of Conor Doyle.
Hull have handed a debut to goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic after on-loan David Stockdale was recalled by parent club Fulham.
Elsewhere, Abdoulaye Faye comes in for suspended defender Alex Bruce.
DERBY COUNTY: Legzdins, Brayford, Keogh, O'Connor, Roberts, Coutts, Hughes, Hendrick, Bryson, Jacobs, Sammon. Subs: Fielding (gk), Freeman, O'Brien, Gjokaj, Davies, Tyson, Robinson.
