THEO Robinson has been ruled out of Derby County's FA Cup fourth round tie against Stoke City at Pride Park Stadium today (3pm).

The striker has failed to shake off a calf injury he picked up in last weekend's goalless draw at Burnley.

He is replaced by fit-again midfielder Jeff Hendrick, while James Bailey has recovered from illness, so retains his place in the side.

Craig Bryson is expected to be employed in an advanced role behind lone front man Callum Ball.

Meanwhile, there is a surprise place on the bench for Nathan Tyson, who has missed the last four games due to sickness and an ongoing groin problem.

Scottish forward Chris Maguire is also named as one of Derby's seven substitutes, with young defender Tom Naylor also added to the bench.

Stoke boss Tony Pulis has made four changes to his side, with goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, full-back Andy Wilkinson, midfielder Dean Whitehead and striker Cameron Jerome coming into the Potters' starting line-up.

Jerome partners England international Peter Crouch up front for the visitors.

Former Derby man Rory Delap is among the Stoke substitutes but there is no place in the 18 for another ex-Ram, Danny Higginbotham.

DERBY COUNTY: Fielding, Brayford, Barker, Shackell, Roberts, Green, Bailey, Hendrick, Ward, Bryson, Ball. Subs: Legzdins (gk), Buxton, Naylor, B Davies, Doyle, Maguire, Tyson.

STOKE CITY: Begovic, Wilkinson, Shawcross, Huth, Wilson, Walters, Whitehead, Whelan, Etherington, Crouch, Jerome. Subs: Nash (gk), Woodgate, Pennant, Fuller, Jones, Shotton, Delap.

REFEREE: M Clattenburg (Tyne & Wear).
